Flying High with 'Peter Pan The Musical' at The Old Rep Theatre: A Festive Journey to Neverland

Peter Pan The Musical, playing at The Old Rep Theatre until 31st December 2023, is a festive production that immerses audiences in the enchanting world of Neverland. The musical, with its promise of captivating costumes and spectacular songs, holds true to its word in many respects. Thea Jo-Wolfe's portrayal of Peter Pan earns acclaim, and Penny Ashmore's vocal prowess as Starkey/Mrs. Darling provides additional enchantment. While staying partially true to J.M. Barrie's original tale, the tweaks to the narrative and an underwhelming pirate aesthetic do not notably detract from the overall delight. However, the visible behind-the-scenes activity during flight scenes slightly dampens the magic.
